"Around the Corner was inspired by a dream in which I was walking by the train station in my home town of Sopot with my grandmother. I saw the figure of death waiting ahead, tall, hunched, and semi transparent. I presumed that he was waiting for my grandmother but he suddenly swooped down and kissed me. It wasn't in any way an erotic kiss; simply the kiss of death.
The dream was so visually impactful that I had the urge to bring my dream to life and started painting death around every corner. Perhaps as people see them, on their way to work or stumbling home drunk they might get a little fright and take a second to consider their mortality. As such, I'm trying to share the experience of my dream."
