Remains was first exhibited in Porto, in the 2018 exhibition "Tension".  The piece is painted on raw, unprimed plywood, with much of the natural grain visible. The lustrous gold finish is offset by the simple material. The imagery is bold and instinctive, and the frantic nature of the piece's creation is clear to see.  An expression of the physicality of being alive. After death, there are remains. But for something to remain, something else must be gone.
