This largely subconscious piece presents an interesting glimpse into artist's makings. It was originally exhibited in the 2019 exhibition “The Fish & The Horse”, in which Berriblue explored and traced her visual inheritance. 
The flowers and wild strawberries hold a personal, sentimental importance, evocative of childhood. The skull is representative of the artist's baby brother, who was lost in utero.
